DBS 2.3.4 to DBSi 5.0 Finance Conversion Menu Guide

From this screen, any of the servers parameters that were entered during the conversion menu install process

can be changed.

 Press Enter to confirm the changes.

 F7 can be pressed to change the CODA password.

 F8 can be pressed to change the DBS password.

5.3 Perform Initial CODA V10 Backup:

 Enter the CODA database server parameters

 Enter the DBS ISeries server parameters

 Enter the Java Class Path

 F7 can be used to change the CODA password

 F8 can be used to change the DBS password

 It is strongly suggested that a backup be taken before each of the other options on the menu are started.

5.4 GL Posting Extraction:

Special Note: A team from Coda is typically assigned work with the dealer to perform the GL Account and Posting

Data conversion. Information is included here for reference only.

The GL Posting extract conversion allows for the submission of a batch job (FNJN9730S) to initially populate the

GL Posting Cross Reference staging file (FNPGLV40) used by the conversion cross reference spreadsheets.

Each unique combination of elements found with posting history in CODA V4 is created with an entry in the GL

Posting Cross Reference file for mapping. The information can then be extracted by the Excel cross reference

spreadsheet and modified as needed for CODA V10 or higher. The GL Posting Extraction process also has an

update feature which will only write new records to the existing staging file (and not overwrite existing entries)
